We love an excuse to dress up, and Christmas Jumper Day is a perfect one for us here at Red River.
Every year we all try to outdo each other with our festive wear whilst raising money for Save the Children with their Christmas Jumper Day campaign.
At Red River we like to put our donations into our beautifully crafted (though somewhat flimsy) donation box, and throughout the week the donations start to roll in – plus we put our names down for the “guess the song” charity sweepstake.
On Thursday 8 December everyone, whether they were in the office or working from home, made the effort to don their most festive of wear.
We had some incredible offerings from geeky gaming to cosy cliché, and even one including Santa being abducted by a vibrant yellow tractor beam, complete with UFO.
There’s always someone who goes the extra mile of course and we were all suitably impressed/jealous of James in his incredible three piece festive suit. Though some of us were disappointed he didn’t have a tie to complete the look.
One of the Red River team – Kai, managed to bring a little something extra to the day with his inflatable antlers which doubled as a ring toss game. Cue a good five minutes of fun and friendly competition (before they deflated again!).
We managed to gather everyone in the office in between various meetings to take a lovely group photo, showing the fabulous jumper selection and, not to be forgotten managed to get a pretty good photo of the working from home team too!
We’re thrilled that our efforts paid off, and we raised £167 for such a worthwhile cause. Bring on the next fundraiser.
