We’re happy to announce that Cite.ac, recent runners up of the Gatwick Diamond Young Startup Talent initiative, shall be joining us in our Horsham office on our new business incubator program. As well as spending time within the office, Cite.ac will receive business support, mentoring and project management assistance from members of our team.
We’re investing heavily in our product development arm this year. On meeting the Cite.ac team, Kieren and Simon were impressed by their entrepreneurial energy and were keen to provide advice, mentoring and technical assistance to enable Cite.ac to get the idea to market. The main aim of the program is to accelerate the development of Cite.ac, however the members of the Cite.ac team will also have the opportunity to contribute towards some of our projects and get involved with our scrum development workflows. Cite.ac are a Crawley and Horsham based education technology startup. The concept for their cloud-based academic referencing application came when two of the founders, Nathaniel Hill and Peter Ross, were experiencing first hand the stresses and strains that academic referencing caused students. Upon deciding to create an application that solved this problem, they swiftly brought Nick Jackson on board as head developer and the team have since received a startup grant from the University of Winchester to aid the development of the application.
