  5. Red River Software Receive a “Be the Business” Grant

Red River Software, based in Horsham Town Centre, is embarking on a journey of rapid growth through the launch of products emerging form the business and development team.

The company, founded in 2008 by Simon Pringle and Kieren Johnstone, has developed a reputation for innovation and creativity and has helped its customers transform their businesses.

Over the past couple of years the team have been developing products aimed at a number of different industries in parallel with the consultancy work they undertake for their customers. In recognition of the work we have with one of their products “Veribeans”, Red River Software have been awarded a £30k grant by West Sussex County Council’s “Be the Business” program to enable the company to get the product to market early this year.

In 2013 West Sussex County Council set up a business grant fund pot of £600,000 to help local pre-starts, start-ups and established businesses that are wishing to grow. Aimed at securing and creating employment within the county the grants were awarded in December 2013. This followed a period of presentations, business plans reviews and due diligence by the consortium awarding the grants. Kieren Johnstone stated that “the pressures on time and the availability of people are the biggest barriers to our growth plans. The grant from West Sussex will finally give us the impetus we need to get the ideas we have to market quickly”.

Red River Software is always looking for talented software developers and would love to hear from anyone with ambitions to join our friendly and creative team.
